3 Enrichment Programs for the Holidays!

The programs highlighted below vary quite a bit in their subject matter and methods, but all three offer the opportunity to change a student's life for the better. With these programs, students can enjoy their time off and have their life enriched forever.

1. Inward Bound New Year's Mindfulness Retreats
Charlton, MA
Held at Prindle Pond Retreat Center in Charlton, MA for teens 15-19, from December 28th through January 1st. Learn how to handle stress + anxiety: Learn how to calm yourself down and relax when you’re in high-stress situations. Gain tools that you can apply to school, sleep, relationships + life in general! Find self-love: Stop trying to “fit in” and get comfortable in your own skin. This is a safe space where people love being themselves and want to support you! Learn how to navigate difficult emotions - to unpack and unravel difficult emotions. Be kinder to yourself + understand how your mind works. Gain tools to get yourself unstuck when you feel overwhelmed. Application Deadline is 12/15/22.
Northern California
Held at Black Mountain Retreat Center in Cazadero, CA. for teens 15-19, from December 28th through January 1st. 2.UMass Amherst, Juniper Institute for Young Writers, Winter Workshops
Are you a teen writer eager to gain insight into the creative writing process? Are you ready to reach your year-end goals, and set writing intentions for the new year? Our Winter Workshops are for you! Guided Write-ins and Writing Labs will provide you with feedback and space to share your work. Instructors will also offer their ever-popular Writer’s Life sessions, where they’ll share their own work and writing tips. The week ends with a celebratory Participant Reading.
Juniper Institute for Young Writers Online looks for writers whose work shows curiosity and risk-taking, and who are eager to experiment with forms and ideas new to them, in the company of their creative peers. The Online Winter Workshops will give you the time and expert guidance necessary to end the year on a creative streak and set some writing goals for next year. You will gain insight into the creative writing process, with opportunities to learn from an extraordinary group of dedicated instructors, and peers who share your love of writing. Guided Write-ins and Writing Labs will provide you with feedback and space to share your work. Instructors will also offer their ever-popular Writer’s Life talks, where they’ll share their own work and writing tips. Finally, we'll wrap up and roll into the new year with a celebratory Participant Reading.
3. Teach Me Wall Street Winter Boot Camp
Teach Me Wall Street offers engaging online programs that focus on Investing, Trading, the Stock Market, Cryptocurrency and Personal Finance. Wall Street 101 focuses on how Wall Street works, who the players are and the basics of stocks and bonds. Annaline Dinkelmann, the owner of Teach Me Wall Street, worked in investment banking and compliance for many years and had a career as a day trader. She ran a top-rated financial tour company in NYC for over 12 years, and has taught thousands of students at conferences, educational workshops and online in her Teach Me Wall Street virtual boot camps.
