    Scuba Diving Summer Programs

Martina Capriotti credits scuba diving with piquing her interest in marine conservation. If you’re curious about the underwater world — or are already comfortable diving its depths — consider a scuba diving summer program. Travel to Costa Rica, Panama, Fiji, or another exotic locale to learn to dive or expand your skills.

Beginner classes teach essential diving fundamentals like buoyancy control, descents, mask clearing, emergency ascents, and hand signals. Experienced divers can sharpen their skills with advanced techniques and increase their comfort level with guided open-water dives to work toward earning advanced open-water diving (AOWD) certification offered by the Professional Association of Diving Instructors (PADI) and Scuba Schools International (SSI).

Prepare to embark on scuba adventures where you swim among vibrant coral reefs teeming with fish and perhaps even visit underwater caves. Many scuba diving summer programs also incorporate activities like whitewater rafting, surfing, hiking, waterfall rappelling, and sailing, too.

Scuba diving classes available through these programs typically last several days or weeks, and many include overnight stays (especially if you travel abroad). Splash into one of these programs with fellow diving enthusiasts to forge a deeper connection with the ocean, discover its magic, and create memories for a lifetime.
