    Overview

When you attend AMDA New York, Broadway is your backyard. Our students are a vital part of the creative community here, and the city itself sets the scene for an innovative learning experience. An AMDA education is more than just studio training; it's a backstage pass to New York City's performing arts scene.

Why Should You Go to the AMDA?

Accredited by the National Association of Schools of Theatre (NAST) since 1984, AMDA is a flourishing, internationally-recognized performing arts institution that has served the New York community for over 50 years. AMDA is the only performing arts college offering a variety of Bachelor of Fine Arts Degrees and Professional Conservatory Certificates in Acting, Dance Theatre and Music Theatre. Students who graduate from AMDA New York have the option to seamlessly continue their education on our Los Angeles campus to receive their Bachelor of Fine Arts degree.

What Makes the AMDA Better Than Other Schools?

With our faculty of working Broadway actors, choreographers, casting agents, screenwriters and voice actors, AMDA thus serves as both school and stage, offering professional and academic training where students have the opportunity to define their own personal aspirations and distinct artistic voices.

As a powerful contributor to New York’s performing arts culture, AMDA strives to create an environment for students to develop the skills, confidence, imagination and power to assist their community as artists, entrepreneurs, visionaries, lifelong learners, and conscientious citizens of the world. Above all, AMDA teaches students that commitment and passion are the hallmarks of a successful, fulfilling career.
