Anderson University: The South Carolina School of the Arts

The South Carolina School of the Arts at Anderson University trains professional visual, musical and theatrical artists who are serious about both their art and Christian faith. Staffed by highly trained and world-class artists, musicians, actors, dancers, theatrical designers, and scholars.

We offer Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Fine Arts, Bachelor of Music, Bachelor of Music Education and Master of Music Education degrees with majors and concentrations in graphic design, painting and drawing, graphic design, ceramics, art education, musical theatre, theatrical design, acting and directing, dance, worship leadership, music education, and vocal, keyboard and instrumental performance. We believe that intense, transformative mentorship inspires this generation of artists to develop their creative talents to their fullest potential. We also coach students to identify and value how their skills can be applied in the career they envision as well as in related fields. Our professors—from Hollywood recording musicians to sought-after art directors—represent the highest level of artistic achievement, and they want to show students how they can get there too.
