Bowdoin is a small residential college committed to educating students to become engaged, adaptable,and independent citizens. Students can major in over 35 different areas of study; eight interdisciplinary majors are offered as well. Students also have the option to design their own major.

From their first-year seminar through their senior year, students are immersed in subjects with teachers who illuminate their learning with their own passion for their discipline.
