    Daemen University is a small, private, nonsectarian, co-educational, comprehensive college in Amherst, New York that awards both undergraduate and graduate level degrees. The core curriculum is an innovative competency-based program providing students with lasting value and a strong basis for lifelong learning.

    We prepare students for professional excellence, intellectual rigor and service to the global community. The 15:1 student-to-faculty ratio at Daemen gives students the opportunity to work one-on-one with professors. The university offers over 40 undergraduate majors and 50 student organizations in two divisions-- Division of Arts & Sciences and the Division of Health & Human Services.

    The Division of Arts and Sciences includes programs in the departments of English, Modern Language, History & Political Science, Mathematics, Natural Sciences, Philosophy & Religious Studies, Psychology and Visual & Performing Arts.

    The Division of Health and Human Services represents a wide arc - from training accountants to equipping physical therapists and social workers with skills needed for success. Departments include Accounting / Information Systems, Athletic Training, Business Administration, Education, Health Care Studies, Nursing, Physical Therapy, Public Health, Social Work, Paralegal Studies and more.
