    Overview

Francis Marion University is one of South Carolina's 13 public, coeducational universities. As one of the state's six comprehensive institutions, FMU prides itself on providing a strong liberal arts education. Will enrollment under 5,000, students are able to build unmatched connections with professors and peers.

Students can explore more than 75 areas of study during their time at FMU, and the school's continuously growing graduate program offers masters and doctorate programs for students who choose to continue their higher education paths.

Additionally, Francis Marion's Division of Student Affairs provides students with an opportunity to learn through co-curricular activities, programs and services that are designed to enhance the student collegiate experience. Through formal and informal formats, students should graduate from the University having demonstrated or acquired comprehensive life skills that will be beneficial throughout their tenure as students and after matriculation.

While an FMU campus experience is engaging and fulfilling, all FMU students are given the opportunity to study internationally for a semester during their college careers; the university partners with 18 universities in 13 different countries, and this opportunity costs nothing on top of regular tuition.
