Harcum offers a comprehensive educational program which emphasizes career opportunities for its graduates and the growth and development of each student as an individual and as a responsible member of society. Harcum offers over 20 majors, and courses are offered at Harcum's Bryn Mawr campus, at partnership sites, and online. Harcum majors include practicums and internships as important parts of the curriculum. In the practicum or internship, qualified students spend a period of time gaining valuable experience in a workplace where they apply knowledge acquired in the classroom, and learn first-hand about their chosen fields. In all areas, students learn in small classes (the average has around 16 students.

The Harcum Music School offers credit courses for college students to fulfill elective requirements. The following courses are currently offered and students can enroll for these courses just like they would any other classes: Music Appreciation, Jazz History, Instrumental Music Lessons on Percussion, Instrumental Music Lessons on Piano, Voice Lessons, Instrumental Music Lessons on Woodwinds, Instrumental Music Lessons on Brass, Instrumental Music Lessons on Guitar, and Instrumental Music Lessons on Electric Bass.
Harcum students are part of a diverse community that makes both career development and intellectual growth a priority. There are more than a dozen student clubs and organizations, focused on career interests, student government, campus social and cultural life, and much more. Harcum's Division I and II athletic programs are fierce competition among other leading two-year colleges. The College's Little Theatre is vital in providing arts and culture on campus.
