    Overview

Hastings College, founded in 1882, is a private, four-year liberal arts institution dedicated to high academic achievement, intellectual discovery and extracurricular exploration essential to life-long learning.

The Art Department offers majors in studio art, art history and art education. Studio majors may choose to specialize in such subjects as glassblowing, sculpture, ceramics, painting, printmaking, drawing, graphic design or photography. Facilities include an 800 square foot art gallery, well-equipped printmaking and ceramics studios, a painting studio with natural Northern light, and the region's most sophisticated glassblowing studio.
