    Overview

Kishwaukee College is a comprehensive, two-year college offering five transfer degrees and 64 occupational degrees and certificates.

In our Art Program, you may pursue an Associate in Arts or Associate in Fine Arts degreeCreate, create a portfolio to apply for a job or gallery representation, build your portfolio to transfer to a four-year institution, or study art for personal enjoyment and growth.

Kishwaukee College (KC) is a comprehensive community college that offers both transfer and career programs. KC is large enough to offer a variety of academic programs and student experiences while still giving you the perosnal connections and support you need in order to make your college experience fulfilling, fun, and unique.

Students have the option to transfer to a 4-year institution with an Associate in Arts (A.A.) and/or Associate in Science (A.S.) with an emphasis of their choice. These degrees are fully transferable to any public university in Illinois. Transfer programs prepare students with the foundational general education coursework needed including: Mathematics, English, language sequences, AND coursework in a partiular area of study (e.g. art, chemistry, communications, business, psychology, English, and more). Kishwaukee College has small class sizes (17:1), transferable programs, highly credentialed instructors, and opportunties that will boost you into the educational/career path in which you are most passionate about.

Kishwaukee College offers the Associate in Applied Science (A.A.S.) degree and a host of certificates in programs ranging from Automated Engineering Technology to Horticulture to Welding through the Career Technologies Divison. These programs prepare students with classroom knowledge AND hands-on experiences taught by skilled instructors with workforce experience in your area of study. The program curriculum is designed and approved by advisory committees composed of local and regional professionals. As the community evolves, KC programs evolve.

For students who did not finish high school, are learning English as a second language, and/or are non-traditional students seeking non-credit coursework to develop other skills and abilities, Kishwaukee College is for you. KC helps students prepare for the GED, learn English as a Second Language (ESL), and enter college to begin a new journey as adults.
