    Overview

Lac Courte Oreilles Ojibwa University is a tribal college in Northwest Wisconsin. We strive to offer the most efficient blend of the traditional and the modern, preparing our students for today's world while maintaining the cultural integrity of the Ojibwe.

Lac Courte Oreilles Ojibwa University offers a number of degrees and certificate programs, and we serve both Native and non-Native populations. We strive to better our surrounding community through all that we do, especially through our Extension Program. Students attending LCO receive top-notch instruction from an HLC Accredited institution. Each student takes courses in general education (writing, math, science, etc.) as well as at least one course in Native American Studies and, naturally, the courses in their chosen degree path. Additionally, LCO offers student support, Career Counseling, an opportunity to engage in student organizations and many other opportunities. LCO also offers GED/HSED coursework and degrees. LCO is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and is a member of the North Central Association.

Our main campus is located on the LCO Reservation just outside of Hayward, Wisconsin. We also have four Outreach Sites operating on nearby Ojibwe reservations: Bad River, Lac du Flambeau, Red Cliff and St. Croix. (You can read more about our Outreach Sites here.)
