    Manhattan School of Music's reputation as one of the best conservatories in the country rests upon its outstanding faculty of devoted musicians and mentors. Students have the opportunity to workoften one-on-onewith prominent members of New York's most renowned ensembles: the New York Philharmonic, the Metropolitan Opera, the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center, the Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra, the Orpheus Chamber Orchestra, and the orchestras of the New York City Opera and the New York City Ballet. Our teachers are deeply committed to shaping the next generation of world-class musicians and to nurturing each student's talent and development as a person. The School grants Bachelor of Music, Master of Music, and Doctor of Musical Arts degrees, training students in performance and composition and providing an essential core curriculum in music theory, music history, and the humanities for the aspiring professional musician.
