    Overview

    Montserrat College of Art is a private, independent residential college of art and design educating the creative problem solvers of tomorrow. Located in historic Beverly, MA, the college is a half-hour train ride from Boston and a short ride to Cape Ann, the site of the nation's oldest art colony, still active today. 

    Courses of study include Art Education, Animation and Interactive Media, Book Arts, Graphic Design, Interdisciplinary Arts, Illustration, Painting, Photo, Video + Film, Printmaking and Sculpture with minors in Art Education, Art History, Creative Writing, Curatorial Studies and Entrepreneurship in the Arts. Montserrat's required internship program assists students prepare for their future in the growing creative economy with professional experience, and with 24-7 arts immersion, the college offers a varied curriculum that challenges each student to push their artistic practice. The college's Career Services Office also offers graduates a lifetime commitment of assistance beyond graduation. 

    A residential college with apartment-style living, Montserrat is located in the heart of the active Beverly Arts District, three blocks from the beach and a short walk to several public parks. 

    Students are also given opportunities to participate in the life of the community through participation in clubs, service projects, volunteerism and through the many cultural events such as Beverly Arts Fest, the college's Animation Showcase and similar programs
