    Point Park's Downtown Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania neighborhood offers pristine parks, riverfront trails, and hundreds of shops and restaurants.     Point Park University is committed to academic excellence and providing the very best all-around educational experience to its students. Academic excellence leads Point Park's four guiding principles, followed by quality student experience, community engagement, and managed growth. Point Park encompasses five schools: School of Arts and Sciences, School of Business, School of Communication, School of Education, and Conservatory of Performing Arts. Eleven degrees are offered: Associate of Art (AA), Associate of Science (AS), Bachelor of Arts (BA), Bachelor of Science (BS), Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA), Master of Arts (MA), Master of Education (M.Ed), Master of Science (MS), Master of Business Administration (MBA), Master of Fine Arts (MFA), and Doctor of Education (Ed.D).

    The Conservatory of Performing Arts is one of the top programs of its kind in the nation. It combines real-world experience and rigorous training with internationally recognized master teachers, directors, producers, writers, and choreographers that will help transform dreams into reality. Departments include Cinema Arts, Dance, and Theatre. Cinema Arts offers BA degrees in Cinema Production, Animation & Visual Effects, and Screenwriting. The Department of Dance offers degrees in Ballet (BA and BFA), Jazz (BA and BFA), Modern (BA and BFA), and Dance Pedagogy (BA). The Department of Theatre offers degrees in Acting (BA and BFA), Musical Theatre (BA and BFA), Stage Management (BFA), and Technical Theatre/Design (BFA).
