    Overview

    Rock Valley College is a comprehensive two-year community college in Rockford, Illinois offering more than 100 courses for transfer, career programs and certificates. Founded in 1964, the college is part of the 48-institution Illinois Community College System.

    Rock Valley College (RVC) is a Class I community college serving the residents of Community College District 511 with administrative offices located on the main campus in Rockford, Illinois. RVC offers over 30 degree programs that award an associate degree, nearly 60 course areas that can lead to four-year degrees and more than 60 certificate programs and apprenticeship programs that provide specialized training in a specific area. RVC has more than a dozen program divisions with faculty and staff who will be happy to sit down with you to discuss their programs and how they match with your educational goals. In an effort to expand the offerings available to you, we also have more than 40 joint educational agreements with two-year colleges in Illinois and Wisconsin.
