The Department of Art and Art History offers undergraduate degrees in both studio art and art history. Integrating theory with practice, students choosing studio art will acquire a foundation in art history. Those studying art history will acquire practical experience in the process of making art.
SCUs commitment to the arts is evidenced by a thriving performing arts facility and an accredited museum of art and history. Both regularly feature works by Santa Clara's own artists as well as exhibits and performances from community and traveling groups. From the Visiting Artist Series to our student workshops, SCU hosts the concerts, plays, and events both academically and professionally. There is something for everyone at Santa Clara University!
