    Overview

Siena College is a learning community advancing the ideals of a liberal arts education, rooted in its identity as a Franciscan and Catholic institution. Siena fosters the rigorous intellectual development of its students through a healthy exchange of ideas both inside and outside the classroom.

Siena College is a private, Catholic liberal arts college located in Loudonville, NY. Our students study in more than 50 academic majors, minors and certificates, including professional studies in education, pre-med, pre-law and social work. The foundation provided at Siena is more than skill, it is a mindset. Our students, faculty, staff and alumni are moved, each and every day, to respondintellectually and ethicallyto needs that arise in our community, nation and world. This is our Franciscan Catholic tradition and its part of what makes Siena distinct among liberal arts colleges. Our beautiful, 174-acre campus is home to state-of-the-art technology and science centers, residence halls, computer labs and dining facilities. Just two miles north of Albany and a short drive from Saratoga Springs, the Adirondacks, and the Hudson Valley, Sienas location offers students exciting cultural, recreational, internship and service-learning opportunities. Siena Colleges small student-to-faculty ratio (12-to-1) and average class size (21) combine with a first-rate curriculum, Division I athletics, vibrant campus life and service and advocacy experiences to create one of the nations premier liberal arts colleges.
