    Described by the Princeton Review as the best college in the country for encouraging debate and discussion, Eugene Lang College has a rigorous program of study based on a seminar approach to teaching and learning. Students from across the country and around the world come to Lang to study with a world-class faculty, intern at prestigious organizations, and immerse themselves in the world of Greenwich Village and New York City. In 2011, about 1,500 students are enrolled at Lang. They are taught by more than 150 faculty members, 90 percent of whom hold a PhD or equivalent degree, an impressive student-faculty ratio.

The New School enrolls more than 10,000 undergraduate and graduate students in more than 90 degree programs in the arts and sciences, management, design, and performing arts.
