Universidad Carlos III de Madrid has the following programs for international students:
- The International Foundation Program provides students with academic preparation and intercultural experience to access degree studies. The program is divided into two knowledge areas (Social Sciences and Humanities or Engineering), lasts the academic year and is taught in Spanish or English, allowing for adaptation to the Spanish university system and culture. If sucessfully passed, it guarantees the access to a Bachelor's degree.
- GAP Year is a customized program to help international students achieve their academic goals and create a better world. GAP year immerses students in Spanish culture while learning about world challenges and acquiring valuable soft skills. Students can choose to take one four-month period (from September to December or February to May) or an academic year (from September to May). Upon completion, participants receive a certificate to help gain academic credit at institutions worldwide.
