    The Civic Education Project (CEP) is an award-winning leadership and civic engagement program based at Northwestern University's Center for Talent Development. CEP offers several service-learning programs.

    The Civic Education Project (CEP) is an award-winning leadership and civic engagement program based at Northwestern University's Center for Talent Development. CEP offers promising young people opportunities to learn and serve in communities across the country, developing the knowledge, experience, and leadership skills they need to make a positive impact on the world.

    CEP offers:

    •A wide variety of program models and courses at multiple grade levels
    •Hands-on learning to promote critical thinking skills and an asset-based framework to explore social issues
    •Meaningful, eye-opening opportunities that bring learning to life

    Civic Leadership Institute (CLI)
    The Civic Leadership Institute (CLI)provides students a unique opportunity to explore current social and political issues through service-learning experiences,exchanges with community leaders, and academic study in an online three-week summer service-learning program for students completing grades 9-12. Participants may be eligible for high school credit and 76 hours of service-learning credit.

    Leadership Intensive
    Leadership Intensive students examine traits and practices of leadership, assess their personal strengths and style, and learn from leaders across professional fields through a 2 or 6-week online course for grades 7-10. Courses promote skill-building and socially responsible leadership where students put their strengths into action.
