U.S. citizen high school students and recent graduates (age 15-18.5) live and study for an academic year in select countries with significant Muslim populations through full scholarships from the U.S. Department of State’s Kennedy-Lugar Youth Exchange and Study (YES) Abroad program. The YES Abroad program is a fantastic opportunity for students to travel abroad and experience a new culture.

This program is open to current US high school students and recent graduates who wish to study for an academic year in a foreign country. If accepted, their merit based scholarship will cover their travel expenses for their trip. Some of the destinatinos may include Bulgaria, Egypt, Jordan, Ghana, Turkey, Thailand. Students may also have the opportunity to explore Senegal, the Philippines, Morocco, Malaysia, Indonesia, India, and Ghana.
