If you’re looking for a semester away from the classroom and packed with unconventional learning, then this is the course for you.
On this course, you’ll learn diverse skills in varied environments and be part of an expedition you’ll never forget. You’ll travel through beautiful and rugged coastal areas, spectacular mountains, alpine grasslands, snowfields, rainforests, river gorges, and plants and animals found only in New Zealand as you hike, sea kayak, canoe, or mountaineer.
Throughout the course, you will learn and practice wilderness living and travel skills, risk management, leadership, and natural history. You’ll also spend time at a local Maori marae and learn about Maori history, culture, and connection to the land.
