Our daughter chose to work on her Spanish in her gap year. This took her to the Canvee program in Valencia Spain. Valencia is a charming, mid-sized city on the Mediterranean coast. It's beautiful ... and big enough to be a real city, but small enough to be safe and manageable for young adults. It has wonderful cultural activities, beautiful beaches and incredible hiking not far away.

She LOVED everything about the program. The program leaders treated her like family. Her host family was incredible. Her Spanish improved significantly. Canvee gave her that gap year opportunity to learn more about being "on your own" in a very safe way. She made friends from Spain, Russia, China, Austria and Italy. She learned from them about how they view the world. It had a meaningful impact on her world view.

I know she will go off to college with more confidence and with perspective that most kids don't get for many years. She - and we - is so grateful to Canvee for making this possible!
