One of the core values of Bosque School is community. This not only means the community at Bosque School (students, faculty and staff), but the community as a whole. Each grade has an opportunity to participate in a service learning project. This component of their curriculum enriches the lives of those they serve as well as the Bosque student. I have seen evidence of this with my children, who have attended Bosque since 6th grade. Each year, they are exposed to a different service learning group. This year, as an 8th grader, my son is working with students at a local HeadStart program. After each visit at the preschool, he comes home with an insight and appreciation for a younger person that can only be gained from working one-on-one with them. My older son has worked with a variety of service learning groups and in doing so has worked with a variety of students, teachers and organizations. I love the fact that Bosque School provides this opportunity for our students to help them learn about their community and teach the importance of giving back.

As the mother of a Bosque School Alum and current upper school student, I have to say I am very impressed. Since my alum is now in college I have seen first hand the outstanding education that my student has received for the last 7 years. He is currently working on getting his degree in computer science and has been able to test out of the first level of classes in English, Chemistry, and Math. He is finding this transitional semester to college easier than expected and that has fueled his confidence in himself and what he is capable of doing. I also have a sophomore at Bosque who states that he feels challenged yet supported in each of his classes. As a parent, I love that the teachers at Bosque actually love what they do. The want to see each and every student be successful and are there to support them along the way. What a gift Bosque gives to its students in the knowledge they give to each student and what an amazing community each student gets to grow up in. Thank you Bosque.

We are nothing but thrilled with The Bosque School for both our 6th and 10th grader. Its emphasis on "the whole person," is impressive. While academics are a huge reason we are at a preparatory school, we are just as thrilled to see there is as much concern regarding how our children learn, how they are involved in our community and how they are best able to follow their passions. A perfect balance of nurturing guidance and independence. Wonderful to see so many teachers who are excited about the subject matters and knowledge they are sharing. Nothing beats the real hands on Science BEMP program that all the students are exposed to at Bosque. We also love the fact there is so much real diversity that happens on campus because of the exceptionally high number of scholarships.

As the mother of a 7th grader at Bosque School, I can share my son's experience.
He has been at the school for a year and a half now, and he has absolutely blossomed. His level of confidence has grown considerably, not only in intellect, but in athletics and his outside interest. He is encouraged to share his ideas and is supported in pursuing his passions.
He loves the hands on learning style, especially in the sciences courses. This style of learning encourages critical thinking and problem solving. He is also benefiting from group projects, and is learning to carry his share of responsibility.
Last year was his first year in drama, and that has made a huge difference in his ability to speak to large groups.
His advisers have worked with him to improve his organization skills, which have resulted in a lot fewer last minute, late night homework headaches. (Thank Goodness!)
He loves learning Spanish, and is looking forward to how that will integrate in his adult life.
The smaller class sizes have allowed him to develop very close friendships, and to feel safe and supported by all.
I can not imagine him being anywhere else. We love Bosque School.

As the mother of two Bosque alumni (2009 and 2012), I have seen firsthand the positive impact of their Bosque School education as they face the challenges of the outside world with character, gratitude, respect, and a sense of service to others. The core values of Bosque School - Scholarship, Community and Integrity - are reflected in the work of the dedicated and caring Bosque faculty and staff every day. Time and again, other Bosque alumni have told me not only how academically prepared they were for college, but how much they appreciate the incredible opportunities and experiences they were offered at Bosque School. I believe that the world our Bosque alumni inherit will be a better place because they are in it; as they carry with them the values of creativity and passion for lifelong learning that were nurtured and instilled in them as Bosque School students.
