Since our founding in 1885, as the first college-preparatory school for girls in the United States, Bryn Mawr has inspired each girl to discover her voice, rise to challenges and grow into her own extraordinary self. 

Challenging Academics, Strong Student Support
Our school offers students a challenging, personalized high school experience, complete with a Student Success Coach, college counseling program, and honors-level courses. Synchronous classes are offered Monday through Thursday, with flexible Fridays set aside for office hours, independent work, or participating in activities students are involved with outside of school.

Accreditation and Affiliations

• Bryn Mawr Online is fully accredited by the Association of Independent Maryland & DC Schools and is in the process of accreditation with the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC)
• Bryn Mawr Online is a member of the National Association of Independent Schools and The National Coalition of Girls' Schools
• Our faculty regularly lead presentations and workshops for other teachers on topics about pedagogy, best practices for teaching girls, and innovative curricular approaches at these organizations and other leading national conferences
• We are an NCAA approved institution
• We offer College Board audited Advanced Placement (AP) Courses for our students
