    Overview

Cape Fear Academy is a college preparatory, nonsectarian, coeducational day school of over 600 students for ages 3 - 12th grade.

Cape Fear Academy believes that our graduates will face an increasingly competitive, rapidly evolving world. We prepare our students by teaching them to think critically and creatively, communicate and collaborate effectively, achieve technological fluency, and become engaged members of our global society. We set high academic expectations and provide a path to success through diverse teaching methods and dynamic learning experiences.

At Cape Fear Academy, a long tradition of high academic standards is grounded in a unique, supportive learning environment in which an incredibly caring and skilled faculty and staff prepare students for success. The CFA experience nurtures capable young adults, empowering them with the skills, confidence, and resilience to take risks, solve problems, and overcome challenges. Small class sizes and rich array of opportunities allow students to explore new horizons, discover their passions, develop unique talents, and embrace the desire to reach their full potential. As a result, students uphold the traditions of academic excellence and achievement for which CFA has a well-earned reputation.
