Hamden Hall Country Day School, an independent, college preparatory, coeducational PreSchool through Grade 12 day school, fosters the individual growth of every student. We challenge students to develop a strong sense of personal integrity, social responsibility, and a global perspective.
In Middle School, we build relationships and foster a safe environment in which students are encouraged to learn about and discover their individual passions and interests. Seventh- and eighth-graders are assigned individual advisors to help guide them in their personal growth and tailored instruction. With an eye toward providing experiential learning opportunities, the Middle School also supplements its academic program with real-world projects that spark interest and maximize student engagement. Defining social responsibility and encouraging global citizenry is also a focus at this age, both on our campus and in the greater community.
In our Upper School, rigorous academics are sought after, and weve answered the call to excellence by providing Honors-level courses in all disciplines, 18 Advanced Placement courses, and several courses beyond the AP curriculum. We are proud of our personalized college counseling program that annually yields 100 percent college acceptance with the majority of graduates attending the most competitive colleges and universities in the world. Our prestigious Princeton Peer Leadership program fosters mentoring opportunities and our exclusive Science, Innovation & Design Program cultivates inquiry, inspiration, and independent learning.
