    Overview

Innercept's Joint Commision-accredited mental health treatment program is renowned for treating adolescents and young adults (ages 13 – 28). Our program has a 90-day minimum length of stay which enhances our ability to assess and treat young people with the most complex diagnoses and stubborn symptoms, including those who have failed at treatment before. Located in the resort town of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, surrounded by breathtaking natural beauty,

Academic collaboration at Innercept Academy occurs between the principal, teachers, staff and clinical team daily. Our team includes a board certified Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist, certified teachers, certified school psychologists, licensed therapists and other professionals. Teachers at the school are dedicated to providing creative solutions to roadblocks students face due to learning challenges, attention deficits and clinical issues. Academic goals are paced to match the individual needs of each student and are interwoven with the clinical aspects of the program. Highly individualized education plans are implemented by dedicated staff and designed to create confidence in the student pertaining to their learning ability. Our curriculum is tailor-made to give credit for non-traditional activities, providing an opportunity to apply knowledge to real life situations.

Staffing with the interdisciplinary team occurs every other week for each student and a report of current status, goals and feedback from the staff and student, are given in written form to parents. This helps the therapist and family discuss goals with the student to measure progress in both the academic and clinical realms. It is the goal of Innercept Academy to provide services to individuals in a holistic manner, helping each student to reach their highest potential.

Upon admission into Innercept, the team completes an education assessment that includes a review of past educational experiences, transcripts, input from parents, teachers and clinicians, as well as a review of clinical needs, to ensure that the educational plan has the best chance for success. Academic testing is available by experienced, licensed, certified school psychologists.
