    Overview

The Ivy Street School provides residential and educational treatment to the growing number of adolescents with brain injuries and other neurological difficulties. Ivy Street is a place for learning, providing young men and women from the ages of 13 to 22 with tailored academic plans.

Ivy Street specializes in helping families and students gain the skills and strategies to successfully manage their disabilities and the challenging behaviors caused by brain injury. Our phased vocational curriculum and residential opportunities put students on a track of increasing independence and self confidence, toward the goal of successful transition to adult life.

Founded in 1993, Ivy Street School is one of the only schools in the country to focus on brain injury, the leading cause of death and disability among teenagers. We are experts in brain injury and the behavior that goes along with it. Our location in suburban Brookline, Massachusetts gives us the advantages of a quiet residential community but also the excitement of the city of Boston just minutes away. Our mission is to prepare students for the transition from adolescence to young adult life including community living, successful employment, or higher education.
