    Overview

Parish Episcopal School is a leading co-educational, Pre-K through 12th grade, college preparatory day school serving students of all faiths. Our Mission is to provide an enriching and challenging educational experience within a Christian community of service and worship.

The Upper School years at Parish represent the essence and the culmination of a students college preparatory education. Our faculty and staff are dedicated to seeing that upon graduation our students are prepared to face the most rigorous college admission requirements.

Our comprehensive, balanced curriculum combined with a full slate of enrichment and extracurricular activities, provides the foundation for academic and social growth. Parish places special emphasis on community service, elective classes in the arts, and participation in athletics to complement the core curriculum in advancing the students total development. Innovative programs for Parish Upper School students include the Academy of Global Studies, Leadership Institute and ParishVirtual (blends traditional, classroom instruction with online course work.)

In parallel, we not only prepare young persons for college, we prepare them for life.

Ethical behavior and social responsibility are also integral facets of the Parish Upper School program. Upper School students gain leadership skills by serving as mentors and role models for younger students.

At Parish, we view the 9th through 12th grade years as a bridge between the structured safety of Middle School and the independence of college. Students assume more responsibility and accountability, but teachers and fellow students continue to provide a socially safe environment for students to take risks and learn from the process, not just the instruction. All Parish students find freedom to explore their individual possibilities without fear.

We find no greater joy than seeing our students stretch their wings and exercise the wisdom, knowledge, ideals and character of the uniquely gifted young adults they are becoming. As school and family prayerfully work together to forge young people of impact, it is our vision that our school tenets _ Wisdom, Honor and Service _ become an integral part of their lives.
