Founded in 1878, Saint Dominic Academy is one of the oldest private secondary schools in New Jersey. Its mission is to offer a superior quality education to college-bound young women in grades 7 through 12.
Serving the educational needs of approximately 353 students from Jersey City and 18 surrounding towns of Hudson, Essex and Bergen Counties, the Academy takes pride in the multicultural and multi-ethnic diversity of its student population. St. Dominic Academy has a highly qualified faculty more than 50% of whom hold advanced degrees. A faculty-student ratio of 1:12 allows for an excellent learning environment.
Three professional counselors are on staff to support student needs.
