    Overview

St.Joseph's School for the Blind educates students ages 3-21 who are blind or visually impaired including those with multiple disabilities.

St. Joseph's School for the Blind is located on a 3 acre campus.  The School is a 75,000 sq. ft., 2-story, ADA-compliant facility which opened in 2007.  The spacious classrooms all include a bathroom.  The school has a heated therapeutic pool, full gym and cafeteria, a technology enrichment center, library, physical, occupational and speech therapy rooms, music and art rooms, sensory room and a Parent Resource Center.

Adult Services are located in Concordia House adjacent to the School.  Its fully equipped, ADA-compliant kitchen and model living spaces are used throughout the day to teach practical life skills such as cooking, laundry and basic home care.

The campus includes a multi-sensory playground with adaptive equipment accessible to children with special needs.  The playground provides therapeutic as well as recreational opportunities.

Ample parking is available on the campus.  Extensive outdoor lighting, security cameras and limited access exterior doors promote a safe and secure environment.  St. Joseph's campus is centrally located near mass transit, a thriving business area and a community recreational center and park.
