    Overview

The Brighton School is the only K-12 school in Louisiana dedicated solely to the instruction of children with dyslexia and dyslexia-related learning differences. We are a non-profit, independent school committed to the education of bright and talented students.

Our goal is to lead and support our students in achieving their full academic and personal potential. Emphasis is placed on preparing our students for success beyond our campus. Our primary focus is meeting the unique educational needs of students with dyslexia and related disorders by offering a multisensory program, small class sizes, and a structured environment.

Established in 1972 to serve students with dyslexia and other language-related learning differences, Brighton understands the complex nature of working with students who learn differently. For nearly five decades, our mission has been the education and development of the whole child, empowering each of our students to achieve. Our students are taught using the most current evidence-based practices to target strengths as well as differences. At The Brighton School, we believe all students can learn given the proper tools to reach their full potential.
