    Overview

The Neighborhood Academy provides a holistic college-prep education for students in grades 6-12.

The Neighborhood Academy is a faith-based, college preparatory independent school whose mission is to break the generational cycle of poverty by preparing low-income youth for college and citizenship.

The Academy is dedicated to developing the minds, bodies and spirits of our students so that they might become fully productive members of our society. By so doing our students will break the cycle of generational poverty that has held them captive and deprived society of the full value of their lives.

Male students - Young men are enrolled primarily in 6th grade. Seats for 7th & 8th grades will be filled according to availability. Please apply or contact the Director of Admissions to find out more information. Female students - Young ladies will be enrolled primarily in 9th grade to align with our co-education experience. Seats from grades 10-12 will be filled according to capacity. Please apply online or contact our Director of Admissions to find out more information.

Though all students at The Neighborhood Academy receive a scholarship, we ask that families make a small tuition contribution on a monthly basis. The contribution is on a sliding scale, starting at $50/month for any family with a taxable income under $25,000, with $10 increases for every $1,000 of income above $25,000 (for example, a family with a taxable income of $30,000 would be asked to pay $100/month). Some families may also offset tuition contributions by carpooling with other families.
