    Overview

Rugby School provides a nurturing environment for special education students from K-12+

The mission of The Rugby School is based on the philosophies of the founding father, Donald J. DeSanto, who believed in providing a nurturing environment for special education students; to maximize their potentials, while exploring their unique abilities.

In our nurturing environment, children are encouraged to express their abilities and talents in classes such as: drama, art, photography, music and culinary arts. Our teaching and professional staff is equipped to uncover and cultivate these hidden talents. In addition, students are offered small, structured classes and participate in a school-wide Positive Behavior Program.

Its our mission to teach students the interpersonal skills necessary to function in todays competitive world while becoming a productive member of society. By designing and implementing individual education plans, we strive to equip them with the academic skills necessary for success. Whether the individual student decides to continue onto higher-education, trade-school or enter directly in the workforce, they leave The Rugby School with a sense of pride and confidence to pursue goals.
