    Overview

Windermere Preparatory School is a nurturing community that prepares students in grades K-12 for college and life by offering a personalized education that cultivates critical thinkers, global scholars, and leaders grounded in character.  We encourage students to reach for individual academic achievement and personal growth.

Windermere Preparatory School's strong college preparatory academic courses are complemented by enrichment offerings in theater arts, music, visual and graphic arts, film and other subjects. As an International Baccalaureate World School and as a member of the Nord Anglia Education family of schools, Windermere Preparatory School provides students with a global perspective both inside and outside the classroom.

WPS is located on a more than 46-acre campus in Southwest Orlando. The Windermere Campus features amenities including: a new state-of-the-art Sports Performance Center, a weight room, school store, coffee shop, locker rooms, athletic offices and a gymnasium. The campus also has two knowledge centers (libraries), two computer labs, multiple art studios, a piano lab, band and choral rooms, a running track, swimming pool, basketball courts, softball/baseball fields and tennis courts.

International boarding students live in spacious, warmly furnished houses in the surrounding neighborhoods typically two to four students to a room. During the school week, students have a varied program that incorporates fun, rest, activities, household chores and homework. On the weekend, students enjoy a variety of exciting, enriching, or relaxing activities & excursions. Local attractions include Walt Disney World, Sea World, Busch Gardens, Universal Studios, several water parks and more. Nearby tourist attractions include the Kennedy Space Center, Daytona International Speedway, local beaches, Orlando Magic Basketball Games and Orlando's Downtown Arts District.
