    Overview

At College Planning Help, I help students identify their talents, strengths, and passions; transferring this knowledge to their college search allows me to guide students to their "best fit" colleges or post-secondary placement. Since 1994 I have been counseling students, and I love what I do.

As a college counselor, my goal is to help students make a successful post-high school plan. For most students this means college selection, but for some, we may explore other options such as gap year programs, travel/service or internships. In my Comprehensive Package, I will:

    • Meet regularly with the student to discuss college planning
    • Be available as a resource to parents as needed
    • Serve as a mentor to the young people I work with, encouraging them to make intelligent choices
    • Be available via phone, e-mail or fax for assistance as needed
    • Provide questionnaires, surveys and others tools designed to assist the student & myself in evaluating college choices and fit
    • Help students plan for their educational testing (ACT/SAT/SAT Subject Tests)
    • Generate a list of recommended colleges with sufficient information for comparison purposes, including contact information
    • Provide information and resources about college fit and how to evaluate schools
    • Offer guidance and suggestions about presenting your best self to colleges via your application, campus visits and/or interviews
    • Share information with student-athletes about the college recruitment process
    • Be happy to review college applications and essays
    • Offer information about scholarships and financial aid
    • Assist with self advocacy skills that will allow the student to access appropriate support services in college
    • Help the student process information and choices related to college admission and provide information about the transition to college
