    Overview

With over 20 years of experience in the field of education, Ranna Patel has helped hundreds of students rise to excellence. She sees college admissions not simply as an end, but as a step along a student’s journey.

Ranna began her career studying early childhood development and then taught elementary school at some of the Bay Area’s most competitive private schools. These experiences have equipped her with a holistic, long-term view of a student’s academic development.

As many of her students reached their high school years, she saw that in the traditional high school setting, students could not receive personalized guidance about course selection and college admissions. Recognizing these gaps, she was inspired to earn her certification in UC Berkeley’s Career and College Counseling. She founded Ranna Patel Consulting to help guide students – and their families – through the college admissions and career planning process. Her philosophy is simple: she aims to help each of her students reach their full potential.

Her results speak for themselves: through the 10+ years she has been working as a college and career counselor, her students have gained acceptance to highly selective universities, direct Business and Medical programs, and Honors programs. These same students have also gone on to pursue careers in their chosen fields, where they continue to succeed and thrive.

My services go beyond a list of tasks to do. Through high-touch mentorship accomplished through weekly calls, we complete the tasks. Each service builds on the next.

By establishing an end-to-end timeline with manageable deadlines, students can fit the college preparation and application process within their busy schedules. By breaking down the cycle into small, attainable goals, there is less stress and anxiety for the student and the family.

Students may start this process as early as their freshman year or as late as their senior year. Regardless of when the planning begins, we’ll establish a reasonable timeline to help students reach their highest potential and find the college that is best for them.
