    Overview

    The Chicago Summer Music Camp is a day camp held at American Music Institute's Clarendon Hills Campus for students of all levels, ages 5-18 years old, and all instruments.  Camp is structed to be enriching, exciting, and educational for children to experience music in a fun way throughout the long summer months.

    AMI’s award-winning faculty create a curriculum to amplify the best aspects of music education and performance, where campers create and perform music daily. The Camp is held in July at American Music Institute’s Clarendon Hills, IL campus, located 25 minutes west of downtown Chicago.

    The Young Artist Camp is for ages 13-18 and operates from 9am to 3:30pm, M-F, for one week in July. The daily curriculum includes: 

    • Music Appreciation (theory & history)
    • Composition Class
    • Improv Class
    • Group Class – Technique / Masterclass
    • Chamber Music
    • Performance Class / Orchestra
