    Overview

At Camp Becket we focus on building relationships within the cabin group, consisting of eight boys and two counselors who eat, work, and play together for four weeks. Boys finishing 2nd through 11th grades participate in cabin activities in the mornings and evenings, planned by staff or by the campers themselves. These might include a game of kickball against a neighboring cabin or an evening in the woodshop working on the cabin sign.

Camping gives boys a foundation for life. At Becket, you are part of a caring community that reinforces the values taught at home. You try lots of new things, participate in fun summer camp activities, learn values that help guide you throughout your life, and make lasting friends. At Camp Becket we offer a traditional, rustic, overnight camp experience. Our boys camp is unlike other New England sleepaway camps, providing leadership programs and other activities that help shape young boys into strong men that are leaders in their local community. Afternoons allow campers a choice of activities based on their individual preferences; our program staff and counselors 'teach' these multi-age groups everything from soccer to graphic arts. This schedule allows the cabin group to work on relationships, problem solving and cooperation and experience a 'family away from home' while making lasting friendships.
