    Overview

    Students will explore Beyoncé’s powerful influence on pop culture, feminism, and Black futurism. From her iconic music to her cultural moments, she challenges ideas about race, gender, and power. We will connect her work to feminist thinkers, exploring themes of empowerment, self-love, and revolution. We will study Black futurism and how Beyoncé blends activism and art to envision a bold future. By the end, we will see how her artistry inspires change in the world.

    Providing a summer of academic discovery, The Ethel Walker School’s All For Girls Summer Academy is where curiosity meets exploration and fun! Our in-person program for grades 5-8 is an immersive learning experience on our picturesque campus in Simsbury, CT while grades 9 and 10 collaborate in cutting-edge online spaces. All courses have been designed by Walker’s renowned faculty who turn every lesson into an adventure and every student into a fearless innovator.
