    Overview

Students will study space exploration missions, the increasingly detailed observations of planets we’ve recently reached, and the uniqueness of our own planet’s ability to harbor life. This one-week program is perfect for teens who are interested in Astronomy or Astrobiology.

Is there life on other planets? What conditions are needed for life to thrive? How are solar systems formed? What is the fate of our own solar system?

Planetary scientists have been studying these questions using newly developed robot spacecrafts. They are observing planetary systems, replicating environments, and building theoretical models to piece together the infinite unknown details of the universe.

This acedemic program gives students the opportunity to explore the fundamentals of physics that govern the universe. It will cover hot topics such as black holes, dark matter, neutrinos, the “God” particle and many more! Students will learn how to manipulate the massive amounts of data coming in from NASA and other space research institutions.

    • "The content of the program and our teacher were both awesome. Our teacher really knew what he was talking about and had a ton of super interesting content to teach us. We watched a few movies on the topic we were learning about and during which our teacher would go more in depth to explain everything; the combinations of the two helped me learn a lot. We also researched topics and did presentations which were actually a lot of fun and were super interesting to do."

    • "I liked how we could explore our interests of space in an environment of like-minded individuals. The teacher possessed spectacular knowledge of the topic and had an answer to every question. I primarily enjoyed the nature of the program while being encouraged to chase our interests by our obviously well-written, intelligent teacher. I feel motivated to further explore topics of space."

    • 'The program was an amazing experience. My teachers were very knowledgeable and taught me so much. For someone who wants to pursue theoretical astrophysics in the future, I could not have found a better summer program. It only made my love for physics greater, and it was exactly what I was looking for...We were also given the opportunity to see the CFA at Harvard, which was a trip I will never forget. Hopefully I will end up there myself one day!'
