    Overview

The Burgundy Center for Wildlife Studies Senior Program is a nature camp for teens, just 2.5 hours from Washington D. C.! Senior campers explore the wildlife and habitats in the WV mountains through guided activites alongside dynamic, caring, and knowledgeable staff. Campers also enjoy typical camp activities like hiking, arts, outdoor skills and more!

Senior campers are giving the independence to develop and pursue their own relationship to and interests in the natural world. Campers will be introduced to botany, zoology and earth science and then have the opportunity to pursue their strongest interest in the natural world through an individual project. Projects, designed jointly with a staff member, blend various aspects of field biology, outdoor skills, and arts.

All senior sessions include the selection of a one-night camping trip or, in some sessions, a three-day backpacking trip in the Dolly Sods Wilderness of the Monongahela National Forest.
