    Overview

Serving children ages 4-15, South Shore YMCA Camp Gordon Clark offer a fun, well-rounded camp experience with a little bit of everything. Campers are placed in co-ed groups by the grade they are entering in the fall where they have the opportunity to try new activities, learn from skills and make new friends. Our campers ages 14-15 take part in our leaders in training program.

The camp includes spacious athletic fields, three outdoor pools, a games court, archery range, basketball court, organic farm, tennis courts, low ropes course, traverse climbing wall, volleyball court, a bathhouse/changing area, indoor Sky Trail® Explorer ropes course, and access to Laura’s Center for the Arts cultural center. Programs offered include Traditional, Specialty, Sports & Arts Day Camps.

    TEEN PROGRAMS

    VOYAGERS (AGES 13-14)

The majority of Voyagers activities are held off-site and vary each session. Trips may include scavenger hunts, museum visits, hikes, beach trips, laser tag and more. Trips and program leaders are carefully selected to ensure camper safety. This program is perfect for the teen seeking a different and exciting camp experience. Schedule of programming will be available prior to the camp week beginning.

    LEADERS IN TRAINING (AGES 14-15)

The Leaders in Training (LIT) program teaches participants leadership skills. Activities include assisting camp groups and facilitating camp activities under the direction of senior camp staff. Emphasis is on team building exercises and includes both classroom-style and experiential learning. LIT’s will learn the skills necessary to become role models at camp, at school and in their community.
