    Overview

    Located in the Sierra Nevada foothills near the Yuba River and Tahoe National Forest, this program offers wilderness challenges, leadership training, and the skills necessary to become independent backpackers and trip leaders. Teens ages 14-17 will take two 3-day backpacking trips and learn important trail skills from their counselors including trail cooking, topo map reading, orienteering, and trip planning—all while forming an unforgettable community.
