    Overview

    Summer Academy

    The Summer Academy is a high school pre-college program for rising grades 9-12. The program is held as two one-week intensives in July. Courses are taught by Centenary University Professors. Select programs taught by industry professionals.

    Sports and Entertainment Marketing

    Centenary University Sports Management Pre-College Sport & Entertainment Marketing Summer Academy provides the first step for any high school student who likes sports and is curious to learn how they can turn that love and passion into a career. Students may meet and interact with professionals from different careers in the sports industry.  Students will have the opportunity to work on a marketing and/or event project during the academy. Trips to facilities/events may be provided. 

    Instructor:

    Dr. David Perricone, Associate Professor of Sports & Entertainment Management

    Dr.Perricone began his college education at Robert Morris University in Pittsburgh, PA.   After receiving his BS in Business Administration from Robert Morris University, he spent two decades with the New Jersey Devils Hockey.  He started as an intern and worked his way up to Senior Director of Merchandising. He also was in charge of the New Jersey Nets merchandise for two seasons.  Professor Perricone obtained his MBA in Marketing from Fairleigh Dickenson University in 2002 and earned his Ed. D in Educational Leadership from Centenary University in 2022.
