    Overview

Our seasoned circus coaches lead campers in a broad range of activities including juggling, stilt walking, unicycle riding, tightrope walking, rolla bolla, walking globe, clowning, acrobatics, aerial arts, and our famous pie in the face.

Circus Camp Stars was born when Michael realized that his 2 kids who were enjoying learning to juggle in his den, would enjoy doing circus even more if they could learn and do with others their own age. Michael called a few of his performer friends with their own young kids and told them to bring their kids and come coach. They started in 2006 with one 5 day camp at a friend's gymnastics center in Reisterstown.

And now, 14 years later, after more than 200 sessions, training approx. 4000 kids, Michael and his coaches are clearly the #11 best circus program in his town!?

♦ We run fun-filled week-long day camps for kids ages 7 to 15. Details on ages, times, costs, etc. vary by location, but camps typically run from Monday to Friday, 9 am - 4 pm, culminating in a show on Friday afternoon for friends and family. Some camps offer optional extended day programs.

♦ Our seasoned circus coaches lead campers in a broad range of activities including juggling, stilt walking, unicycle riding, tightrope walking, rolla bolla, walking globe, clowning, acrobatics, and our famous pie in the face day. Hand-eye coordination, balance, and self-confidence all improve as kids realize that with practice and a positive work ethic, they can learn anything.

♦ Some sessions offer our Big Top Buddies program geared towards younger campers, where we emphasize manipulation skills such as spinning plates, balancing feathers/sticks and juggling scarves. Acrobatics, clowning, and pie in the face day are still included, with the addition of circus-themed arts and crafts projects.

♦ Registration at each camp includes a circus camp shirt. Jugging bean bags/juggling balls are gifts to the kids working on ball juggling at most camps. Many other juggling props such as devil sticks, spinning plates, and diablos are available for purchase at most camps on Friday for kids who are passionate about circus and want to continue working on their skills.

Please refer to the registration materials at your preferred location for information about snacks and lunches.

♦ Campers should wear clothing in which they can move freely and comfortably be upside-down. Shoes must be securely attached and have a closed toe. Please, no flip flops, sandals or Crocs. Sneakers are best.
