Citizen Diplomat Academy is a free virtual exchange program for high schoolers (ages 14-18) to meet students from Philadelphia’s Sister Cities (Toru?, Poland & Tianjin, China in Spring; Kobe, Japan in Summer) and develop cultural understanding through live sessions and activities.
The program runs for five weeks at various times of the year. This summer, students from the Greater Philadelphia region will meet weekly with students from Kobe, Japan. Cohort A of the program runs on Tuesdays from July 16 to August 20 from 7:00 am – 8:30 am EST | 8:00 pm – 9:30 pm JST, and Cohort B runs on Thursdays from July 18 to August 22 from 7:00 am – 8:30 am EST | 8:00 pm – 9:30 pm JST. Together, they develop key skills including cultural fluency, critical thinking, and more to increase their comfort and effectiveness as future leaders in a globalized world.
