Dean College – Performing Arts Summer Programs

DANCE INTENSIVE offers high school students ages 14-18 who are interested in majoring in dance a one-week summer dance intensive. Dancers have the opportunity to train with esteemed faculty in our professional studios. MUSICAL THEATRE INTENSIVE offers high school students ages 14-18 the chance to work on their acting, singing and dancing skills with renowned faculty during our one-week musical theatre intensive.

Dance Information

High school students ages 14-18 who are interested in majoring in dance will train with esteemed faculty during the Dean Summer Arts Institute this July/August. *Students entering their freshman year of college, if still 18 years old, are welcome to join us 

Conservatory training in ballet, modern, jazz, tap, and related dance techniques taught by world-class faculty.

Explore artistry, create choreography, and perform original work as well as work by celebrated guest artists.

Workshops in dance on camera, conditioning for dance, college prep, resume writing, headshots, and more help you step into the life of an aspiring dancer.

Staff-guided residential program with 24-hour supervision.

Athletic trainer on-site for injury prevention.

Musical Theatre Information

Study acting, singing and dancing with renowned faculty and guest artists.

Learn about auditioning, picking repertoire, acting for the camera, self-taping, and rehearsal techniques.

Enjoy workshops on stage combat, resume writing, headshots, conditioning for the actor, college prep and more, helping you gear up for your next college audition or casting call.

Staff-guided residential program with 24-hour supervision.

The Dean Summer Arts Institute intensives will be held on the campus of Dean College in Franklin, MA. Tuition is as follows:
