    Overview

The Summer TUTTI Performing Arts Camp at Denison University offers talented high school dancers, musicians, musical theatre- and theatre-makers a chance to deepen their skills while collaborating with professional artists and ensembles and peers from across the country. You’ll live and learn with high school peers from across disciplines (and the country) as you deepen your talents and skills, & explore new ways of making art!

During the days, you work hard — with people who are as passionate about the performing arts as you are, immersed in workshops, practices, and rehearsals. In the evenings, you hang out with new friends and experience life on Denison’s beautiful college campus. You'll spend mornings in your chosen genre. In the afternoons, you'll collaborate and learn across the disciplines. You'll learn from and collaborate with university faculty members who are recognized by their peers for the excellence of their work. And you have incredible opportunities to partner with and build relationships with world-class ensembles-in-residence, including the Grammy Award-winning quartets ETHEL and Third Coast Percussion as well as members of the Available Light Theatre company.

Our MUSIC program offers high school vocalists, instrumentalists (woodwinds, brass, percussion, strings, and piano), and composers skill-expanding opportunities through collaboration and interdisciplinary exploration with expert faculty, section coaches, and conductors. You’ll play in small and larger ensembles with peers as dedicated as you.

Our DANCE program features intensive workshops that will help take your dance and movement skills to the next level. You’ll have opportunities to create, perform, and collaborate with young artists working across the disciplines.

Our MUSICAL THEATRE program offers singing actors an intensive opportunity to hone their skills in singing, acting, and dancing, as faculty guide them through familiar and new intersections of these disciplines. Training as both individual performers and members of an ensemble, students will explore acting through song in an environment that will challenge and uplift them.

Finally, in our THEATRE program,  young theatre-makers — including students interested in acting, directing, and design — devise and explore physical, vocal, and visual methods for creating performances. You’ll work collaboratively to solve problems and explore the possibilities of interdisciplinary artistic creation in a safe, supportive environment.
